Annual Awards Cancelled
Due To Lack of Industry or Government Support
We deeply regret that the annual National Residential Care Awards are cancelled. Lack of support by the industry or Government has caused this.
The entirely unique concept of the National Nursing Home Awareness Week incorporating the powerful awards, proved to be an effective and economical approach to raising the "bar" in our care of the aged and other disadvantaged groups living in residential care.
Our question is "Why, when the benefit of these Awards is so clear, did the Federal Government fail to recognise or support them?
Were they afraid that the "coal face" staff may gain a voice in their industry?
